Transformations: The Cabinet Card Paintings of Alex Gross 2012-2019 is the newest collection of about 200 mixed media paintings by Alex Gross. On each page, he "transforms" a vintage cabinet card photograph into a pop culture character, painting with oils and acrylics. Popular superheroes and villains, famous musicians, science fiction and fantasy characters, movie monsters, cartoons and many more all make appearances in this book.

Each page shows the cabinet card before and after it was painted. Transformations also includes a wonderful introduction by iconic pop artist Ron English.
